Surf's Up

Here on the west coast of the Big Island of Hawaii, we've been receiving some pretty big surf. Nothing gets people more excited out here than giant waves, from those who know how to ride them to even armchair admirers like myself.

I went out to view some of the waves last night at Magic Sands Beach, aka La‘aloa, catching a few adventurous boogie boarders getting caught up in the excitement. Even us bystanders got to experience some action, when the occasional wave broke over the barrier.
