France Context

It's official! France is both Ben's and my favorite European country. Their culture has dedicated centuries, if not millennia, to perfecting the two most important things in this world: savoring life to the fullest and, perhaps best of all, making exceptional food. And by food, I mean breads, cheeses and wines of infinite, exquisite varieties.

We have had the luck to visit France multiple times, and each time we linger a bit longer. Each time we walk away more in love with this beautiful country, and each time we try to figure out when our next trip will bring us back. It may be cliché to love France, but, as the French would say, c'est la vie.

One of our trips to France together happened two weeks after the Paris terror attacks of November 2015, and it was a strange, scary, challenging but ultimately wonderful time to be there. We were welcomed with open arms by French people who were thrilled that there were those who stood in solidarity with them.

​
